“Consider Not Using His Photos” — Fans Outraged as HYBE Allegedly Fails to Attribute BTS’ Taehyung in Jungkook & Jimin’s Are You Sure?! Photobook Poster

“Consider Not Using His Photos” — Fans Outraged as HYBE Allegedly Fails to Attribute BTS’ Taehyung in Jungkook & Jimin’s Are You Sure?! Photobook Poster

BIGHIT MUSIC, now known as HYBE Labels, unveiled the latest photobook poster for Are You Sure?! on September 19, 2024. The poster preview showcased various images of BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook, featuring V as the special guest of the show.

However, some fans expressed their discontent as the poster did not include V‘s name next to those of Jimin and Jungkook. Many fans argued that the focus of the show is on Jimin and Jungkook, with Taehyung only appearing as a guest in three episodes.

This sparked a heated debate on X, with some fans criticizing BIGHIT MUSIC for seemingly omitting Taehyung’s name. One fan commented on X,

“Idk I feel its kinda off when they included Taehyung’s photo for Jeju but they didn’t even mention his name. At least add a special guest tag or maybe don’t use his photos for the preview poster.”

Fans of BTS’ V, who refer to themselves as “KTHs” —derived from Taehyung’s full name, Kim Tae-hyung—urged their fellow fans to refrain from purchasing the upcoming photobook.

“Imagine centering your poster around a picture with Kim Taehyung still failing to acknowledge him by name like how hard is it to type a single letter #V or did you forget his name like the debut days? If u’re gonna ride his wave for clout at least have the decency to respect him,”one fan wrote on X.

“KTHs don’t buy this PB Tae is not credited to it,”another fan added.

“Where is #V hashtag? There’s a photo of three of them but Taehyung’s name is missing in the title? If you include Taehyung in this poster, at least show him the respect he deserves. Or did you forget his name again like when he first debuted?”one other fan said.

Meanwhile, other members of the BTS fandom defended the poster, emphasizing that the show is officially centered around Jimin and Jungkook. They highlighted that it wouldn’t be appropriate to credit V on the official poster since he was merely a guest star.

“Two of the biggest soloists who are breaking their group’s records need clout? I don’t think so,”one fan commented.

“A reminder that this show is solely about Jungkook and Jimin, as they themselves stated. I don’t know why there’s such insistence on mentioning a guest,”another fan explained.

“It’s a Jimin x Jungkook travel show, NOT Vminkook for you to be so demanding. This is definitely NOT FOR KTHs & Taekookers,”another fan remarked.
