In the realm of Palworld, the Meowmere stands out as an exceptionally powerful weapon, particularly noted for its ties to the popular game Terraria. Due to its unique qualities and the nostalgia it evokes, many players are eager to acquire this sword. However, obtaining the Meowmere requires a considerable amount of time and dedication, involving extensive resource collection and achieving the required levels. While there are methods to simplify the journey, securing this weapon in an established game world demands concentration and effort.
Originally teased in the crossover announcement between Terraria and Palworld, the Meowmere was introduced in the Feybreak update along with hardcore mode. This sword is not just another weapon; it shoots kitten faces with a vibrant rainbow trail, making it visually unique. These kitten projectiles bounce on the ground and continue forward until they make contact with an enemy, allowing for attacks from a distance, which is a tactical advantage in battles.
Locating Predator Cores in Palworld
Identifying Predator Core Dropping Pals
To craft the whimsical Meowmere weapon, players need the Predator Core, a coveted crafting component. This resource is relatively difficult to obtain as it exclusively drops from aggressive creatures known as Predator Pals. Easily identifiable by their red aura and unique boss-style health bar, these foes are significantly stronger than standard Pals. While generally advised to avoid them, players must engage Predator Pals to collect the valuable Predator Cores.
Unlike traditional bosses, Predator Pals spawn randomly throughout the game world. However, certain locations have a higher likelihood of encounter. Players should explore wide-open areas or survey the skies, searching for the distinctive red aura of these Pals.
It appears that I’ve encountered numerous Predator Pals near the Free Pal Alliance Tower, although it’s important to note that this area is designed for higher-level players.
After locating a Predator Pal, the challenge escalates to defeating it in order to obtain the core. Players will need to ensure their Pal team is robust and equipped to withstand the aggressive attacks and substantial health pools of these formidable foes. Utilizing high-level Pals with the right skills and weaponry can significantly enhance your chances of success. Upon vanquishing a Predator Pal, don’t forget to collect the Predator Core it drops and stash it in your base’s storage box.
Steps to Obtain Meowmere
Crafting the Meowmere: A Step-by-Step Guide
Acquiring the Meowmere requires players to follow a specific process. Initially, it is essential to achieve Technology Level 30. Reaching this milestone can be challenging; I personally spent around 20 hours playing to accomplish it. This involves engaging in various gameplay activities, such as completing quests, defeating enemies, and exploring to accumulate experience and Technology Points. Once you reach this level, the Meowmere blueprint can be found in the Ancient Technology Tree, although unlocking it requires spending two rare Ancient Technology Points.
For efficient leveling, capturing duplicate Pals is beneficial. The first ten captures of any Pal yield experience bonuses, significantly accelerating your progress.
After unlocking the blueprint, gathering the necessary materials for crafting the Meowmere becomes the next challenge. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll need:
- 22x Ingot
- 22x Coal
- 22x Paldium Fragment
- 3x Predator Core
Acquiring 22 Ingots is relatively straightforward through ore refinement. The Paldium Fragments can be mined or produced using a Crusher. Coal is typically easier to find in the late stages of the game, especially within northern terrains. The most challenging component to secure will generally be the three Predator Cores.
To expedite your quest for Meowmere, it’s wise to prioritize hunting for Predator Cores first, as that process can be lengthy. You should find that collecting the other materials becomes manageable once you reach Technology Level 30. If you haven’t reached Level 30 by the time you pursue the Predator Cores, this endeavor may also help level you up.
For players who find the process daunting but want a taste of the Meowmere, consider creating a new world. You can adjust the game settings for a more relaxed experience and craft the Meowmere with ease. However, if you are already established in an existing world, you will need to invest the necessary effort to acquire the weapon.
Once you have gathered all the required components, the Meowmere can be crafted at various stations, including the High-Quality Workbench or different Assembly Lines. With an impressive attack power of 200, high durability at 2222, and the ability to unleash cat-shaped projectiles that emit meows—much like its counterpart in Terraria—the Meowmere may look whimsical, but it is undeniably a formidable sword.
