Zenless Zone Zero, often referred to as ZZZ, is an exciting new title from HoYoverse, the team behind popular titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Unlike its predecessors, ZZZ unfolds in a unique universe distinct from the Honkaiverse. Set in the apocalyptic remnants of a futuristic city called New Eridu, players navigate a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is besieged by anomalies and creatures known as Ethereal, resulting from a catastrophic event known as the Hollows.
In this intriguing narrative, players assume the role of a Proxy codenamed Phaethon. Faced with unexpected challenges, Phaethon navigates the complexities of rebuilding his reputation. Proxies serve as guides for Hollow Raiders, venturing into dangerous realms known as Hollows. With the assistance of a Bangboo, an AI designed originally for evacuation, Proxies lead these adventurers through perilous situations, all while managing the safety of their headquarters.
Bangboo’s role has evolved beyond mere evacuation, now serving various purposes in the daily lives of the New Eridu inhabitants. Players can obtain a Bangboo through the game’s gacha system, referred to as “pulling”from a banner. Remarkably, this does not consume the valuable resource known as Polychromes, allowing players to allocate those resources towards acquiring new agents or replenishing their energy batteries.
