However, the latest developments in Carter Hall‘s life reflect a new dynamic, as revealed in the latest issue of JSA #3.
New Roles Amidst Chaos
As the Justice Society of America (JSA) rallies to aid Hawkman against the formidable Demons Three, Hawkgirl expresses her frustrations about not being able to contribute more actively. In a candid conversation with Green Lantern Alan Scott, she discloses that her current relationship with Carter is distinct from those of previous incarnations, declaring, “we don’t have the same relationship as past Hawkmen and Hawkwomen have had.”
The evolution of their bond is profound. With Carter having found Shayera, the cycle of rebirth has finally been broken, allowing them both to explore a relationship independent of their pasts.
This transformation has led Kendra to perceive Hawkman more like a brother than a lover, redefining their connection significantly.

Initially, Kendra’s story involved her being possessed by Shiera’s spirit, which ultimately led her to become a pivotal member of both the Justice Society and the Justice League.
