Death Stranding 2 Beach Gameplay Highlights Tarman, Dollman, Tomorrow, Rainy, and Heartman

Kojima Productions hosted a Special Stage panel for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach at Tokyo Game Show 2024, unveiling exciting new gameplay elements and insights featuring the Japanese cast. The presentation highlighted several fresh scenes with members of Drawbridge aboard the DHV Magellan.

At the forefront is Tarman, the captain and pilot voiced by Marty Rhone, whose likeness was modeled after renowned director George Miller of Mad Max fame. Next is Dollman, the “puppet” previously glimpsed in trailers, portrayed with the likeness of Faith Akin and voiced by Jonathan Roumie. While Dollman is confined to his current form, Tarman is a DOOMS sufferer, akin to the character Fragile.

Joined by Dollman, Sam encounters Tomorrow and Rainy, additional members of Drawbridge played by actors Ellie Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna respectively. Tomorrow hails from the realm of the deceased, while Rainy is pregnant, leading the quartet in a rendition of “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” for her unborn child.

Despite previous comments suggesting otherwise, actor Darren Jacobs confirmed his return as Heartman, with filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn providing his likeness. Remarkably, Heartman now possesses unique hardware that allows him to sleep while standing.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set for release in 2025 exclusively for PS5, although an official launch date is still pending. More details are expected to be disclosed soon.
