Diablo 4 Unveils Free Spiritborn Trial for Players

Overview of the Spiritborn Free Trial in Diablo 4

  • The Spiritborn class free trial will run from December 19, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
  • Spiritborn is a combat-ready warrior equipped with unique powers, including Spirit Guardians.
  • Participants can reach level 25 during the trial, and any progress made will carry over upon expansion purchase.

Diablo 4 is set to launch a free trial for the Spiritborn class beginning December 19, 2024, and concluding on January 3, 2025. Since its initial release, Diablo 4 has featured five distinct classes. However, the introduction of the Spiritborn class marks a significant update as it is the first new class added in years, designed to bring fresh gameplay experiences.

The Spiritborn hails from the treacherous Nahantu jungle and excels in delivering devastating combos while utilizing dark magic and poisons. This class is part of the Vessel of Hatred, Diablo 4’s inaugural expansion, which also presents new adversaries, epic bosses, and a diverse range of loot, including legendary aspects. Although the Spiritborn’s unveiling in 2024 was highly anticipated, it has been available solely for players who purchased the expansion. To cater to the broader player base, the developers have excitingly announced a free trial.

During the trial period, players on Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation who have not acquired the Vessel of Hatred expansion can experience the Spiritborn class and advance up to level 25. This allows fans to explore the flexibility of one of Diablo 4’s most agile classes. Should players decide to purchase the expansion after the trial, any progress made will transfer, letting them seamlessly continue their demon-slaying journey in Diablo 4.

A standout feature of the Spiritborn class is the Spirit Guardians mechanic, allowing players to select from four distinct Guardian Spirits: centipede, eagle, gorilla, and jaguar, each with its unique skill tree. This customization offers a significant influence on gameplay, enabling players to develop various builds to suit their preferred style. Notably, the Eagle Evade build gained significant attention as one of the most optimal Spiritborn builds early in the expansion’s release.

Alongside the trial, Diablo 4 players can anticipate thrilling year-end events. A test server was active from December 3 to 10, providing a sneak peek into the upcoming Season 7 content. From December 17 to January 2, 2025, the Slay Ride to Hell global community event will commence, challenging players to collaborate in defeating goblins for rewards. Additionally, during this time, the Mother’s Blessing bonus will be active, enhancing experience points and gold acquisition.
