On September 19, 2024, an older video emerged online featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs providing commentary on the effects experienced by the “white man” during his parties, specifically one he hosted in London. In the 43-second clip, a younger Diddy is seen filming a Caucasian male who appears to have lost consciousness on an outdoor bench, seemingly due to substance use.
“That’s James from Simian Mobile Disco. He is an actual DJ. DJs aren’t supposed to pass out, but when they come to one of my parties, this is what happens to him… I put him to sleep,” the founder of Bad Boy Records stated.
For those unfamiliar, Simian Mobile Disco is an English electronic music duo and production team, created in 2003 by songwriter and record producer James Ford (presumably the individual Diddy referenced in his video) and Jas Shaw, both of whom were part of the band Simian.
In the same 43-second viral video, several other white attendees, both men and women, were seen enjoying the outdoor celebration. This footage resurfaced just days after the hip-hop mogul’s arrest and arraignment in New York City on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
Analyzing Diddy’s Comments in the Viral Video About White Men at His Parties
A throwback video of Sean Combs relishing an outdoor celebration he organized in London circulated across various social media platforms on Thursday. While the original release date of the footage is unclear, it showcases a much younger version of the rapper.
“Okay, ladies and gentlemen, for all those in London who don’t know what happens to the white man when he comes to the P. Diddy party. This will happen to the white man,” Diddy states in the clip.
Subsequently, he pivots the camera to a group of younger Caucasian individuals at what seemed like a vibrant outdoor party, holding beverages. He then humorously focused on a man who appeared to be unconscious, identifying him as James from Simian Mobile Disco, and laughed while mentioning how he “put him to sleep.”
Additionally, Diddy jokingly asked one of the bystanders near “passed-out” James to “put the drink on his head” and to “drink out of his head,” referring to the glass held by the individual. In the background, another attendee remarked that it was “unfortunate” they had to “pull back” to let the No Way Out rapper film his video.
Earlier this year in July, a former adult film star named Adria English filed a lawsuit against the multi-millionaire, claiming that Sean Combs recruited her for various “white parties” held across his residences in Miami, New York, and the Hamptons.
She alleged that Diddy coerced her into participating in “prostitution” and sexual acts with his guests, reportedly including celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabo, from 2006 to 2009. English also accused Diddy of assault and trafficking.
Prior to the 2020 presidential election, Combs articulated in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God that “white men like Trump need to be banished,”deeming his mindset as “dangerous,”and accused the former president of attempting to hinder him and his family from voting.
Summary of Sean Combs’ Current Legal Issues
Diddy was taken into federal custody on the evening of Monday, September 16, at the Park Hyatt Hotel on West 57th Street in New York City, following a grand jury indictment.
The 14-page indictment, unsealed the following morning, included three felony charges against him for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for engaging in prostitution.
On Tuesday, the controversial rapper appeared in Manhattan Federal court, where he was arraigned and denied bail after prosecutors described him as a “serious flight risk.”
He pleaded “not guilty.” If found guilty, he could face 15 years to life in federal prison. Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has stated he will “fight like hell” to secure an acquittal for his client.
