Donald Trump Allegedly Doubles Down on Heartless Insults Towards America’s Fallen Soldiers, Saying ‘It’s Filled With Losers’

Republicans should be outraged by the reported remarks made by former President Donald Trump regarding deceased American veterans.

As reported by The Atlantic, four sources disclosed why Trump chose to forego a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery. The cancellation was not due to logistical issues; rather, he was concerned about the potential of rain causing his hair to look unkempt. These anonymous individuals also stated, “Why would I visit that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”

The incriminating article by The Atlantic also reveals additional controversial statements Trump allegedly made about fallen service members. For instance, during Memorial Day 2017, he asked, “What was it for them?” while speaking to John Kelly, whose son died in Afghanistan in 2010.

A frequent criticism leveled at Trump is his alleged perception of veterans as “losers.” During an interview with Kelly, Schmidt asked, “Did he say that those who perished in battle for America were losers and suckers, repeatedly?” To which Kelly affirmed.

Consistency in Controversy

It appears the former President struggles to grasp the concept of sacrifice for a greater purpose beyond monetary gain. It’s crucial for both political parties to recognize that belittling the sacrifices of those who served is unbecoming of a leader. These individuals died defending American values and interests. If these allegations hold weight, it suggests Trump considers soldiers merely as instruments for his purposes. Trump’s campaign representative has dismissed these allegations as unfounded.

This isn’t the initial episode where Trump has faced accusations of making insensitive remarks about military personnel. John Kelly’s revelations aren’t new but rather a continuation of issues previously highlighted since 2020. Trump has publicly mocked the late Senator John McCain’s military injuries. Furthermore, he was recorded derogatorily referencing McCain, asserting, “I prefer individuals who were not captured.”
