Kez is set to join Dota 2 as part of the Crownfall Act 4 update, with the Bird Samurai officially revealed just prior to the Grand Final of The International 13. This announcement was made via a brief video clip, and fortunately, fans won’t have to endure a lengthy wait reminiscent of the Ringmaster’s introduction.

It will be intriguing to observe how Kez influences the current Dota 2 meta and hero tier list.

As we await Kez’s debut in Crownfall Act 4, the timeline for the next chapter of the Dota 2 saga remains unconfirmed. The Crownfall storyline commenced with Act 1 in April 2024, followed by Act 2 in May and Act 3 in July. With TI 13 now in the books, it is anticipated that the final chapter will be released within the next few weeks, no later than a month.

Details surrounding Kez are still limited, aside from the 52-second teaser. In the video, the Bird Samurai is depicted wielding a blade and sharp talons. A striking tornado-like ability reminiscent of Juggernaut’s Q ability, Blade Fury, is showcased. The teaser highlights that “Every revolution needs a hero,”suggesting that this new hero will play a significant role in the ongoing conflict involving Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit.
