Dynasty Warriors: Origins is set to launch on January 17, 2025. During the recent Tokyo Game Show, Koei Tecmo provided an in-depth look at the gameplay for this exciting Musou title. In a 23-minute gameplay demo, players witness the new unnamed protagonist conducting a War Council and selecting a Companion before engaging in the renowned Battle of Guandu.
While players can choose their starting positions on certain maps, this feature may not be universally applicable. Once the battle begins, the classic Dynasty Warriors gameplay shines as players take on hordes of enemies with powerful attacks. Additionally, players can issue commands to allied units, delegating them to different locations as the battle unfolds.
Players also have the option to temporarily control their companions and can initiate Extreme Musou Attacks. These cooperative abilities are effective for clearing large groups of foes and inflicting significant damage on enemy Officers.
