Investigation and Suspects

The law enforcement team began their investigation by questioning Ed Bozarth’s wife, Denise Bozarth. Alongside Denise, another suspect was identified: a marina security guard named Dave Campbell.

According to CBS, it was revealed that Denise, although married to Ed Bozarth, had been having an affair with Dave. Prior to Ed’s demise, Denise had requested a divorce from Ed, further complicating matters.

Despite not confessing initially and claiming that Ed abused her physically, she later pleaded guilty in 2012 after her arrest. In 2014, Denise pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and received a 14-year prison sentence after a judge ruled her prior confession inadmissible, citing claims that she was denied legal counsel when she confessed.

Denise Bozarth has since completed her sentence and is now living as a free woman.
