Twitch streamer Emilycc has recently celebrated a significant achievement, surpassing 20,000 subscribers just weeks after receiving an enthusiastic mention from fellow streamer Kai Cenat. Notably, Emilycc holds the record for the longest continuous streaming subathon on the Twitch platform.
Beginning her streaming journey in January 2016, Emilycc embarked on a relentless subathon that commenced in November 2021. Since then, she has maintained a 24/7 broadcast schedule, accumulating an astounding duration of more than three consecutive years of streaming. Her diverse content includes gaming, engaging “Just Chatting”sessions, and IRL streams, catering to a wide audience.
During the Mafiathon 2 event, Kai Cenat acknowledged Emilycc’s dedication and hard work, which significantly contributed to her growing popularity. Following this shoutout, Emilycc witnessed a surge in her average viewership, which recently soared to 1,000, even reaching a peak of 11,000 viewers. With over 21,000 subscribers, her countdown timer now reflects 1,418 hours remaining for her subathon, indicating that her relentless streaming is far from over.
Emilycc Achieves 20,000 Subscribers Milestone
Despite Kai Cenat advocating for her nomination at the Streamer Awards in recognition of her record-breaking achievement, Emilycc did not receive any nominations. However, she was invited to the prestigious event and was present at the gala held in Los Angeles. In contrast, fellow streamer Emiru chose not to attend despite being nominated for Streamer of the Year; ultimately, the awards went to IShowSpeed.
While Emilycc continues to excel with her record for the longest subathon, it’s worth noting that Kai Cenat achieved his own significant milestone, becoming the first streamer to surpass 500,000 subscribers during his Mafiathon. His event included surprise guest appearances from celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Benny Blanco, and Marshmello. Nevertheless, Cenat’s stream was not without its controversies, particularly regarding his invitation to Chris Brown. Amidst the excitement of breaking records, Cenat candidly shared that he experienced health issues, highlighting the importance of taking care of oneself, especially in such high-pressure environments.
