LEGO Fortnite is set to expand its gameplay options with the addition of a Brand-New game mode dubbed Brick Life, arriving on December 12. This exciting update follows the recent launch of Chapter 6, titled “Hunters,”which brings significant enhancements and new experiences to this beloved game.
Exciting New Mode: “Brick Life”
With the forthcoming Brick Life mode, players will join 31 others in exploring vibrant new locations while immersing themselves in various careers and constructing their ideal homes. This update will effectively rename the core game mode to LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, marking a new chapter in the game’s evolution since its release on December 7, 2023. The game has enriched its content significantly, including the recent Lost Isles update that expanded gameplay options.
The Lost Isles update has also introduced vehicle building, allowing players to create their very own rides. Furthermore, players can now encounter Klombos—large, friendly creatures that can be tamed and recruited as companions within this creative universe. Engaging LEGO enthusiasts, the game offers a broad range of activities such as farming, fishing, cave exploration, and the construction of elaborate villages.
Additionally, in-game text chat functionality will be introduced on December 10. This feature enables players to communicate via text not just within game lobbies but across all modes, including direct messaging with friends. To ensure a safe environment, especially for younger users, moderation filters will be implemented with the rollout of this feature.
Earlier this year, the game also introduced a Halloween update, featuring a seasonal pass that remains active until December 10. This event offers players the chance to earn exclusive Halloween-themed items for building, along with pre-made haunted structures. Players can engage in trick-or-treating with village NPCs and discover characters adorned in spooky attire throughout the game’s expansive world.
For those seeking a collaborative experience, LEGO Fortnite includes a split-screen capability, facilitating local play for two users. It is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, while Nintendo Switch users currently do not have access to this feature. The split-screen option, a long-requested functionality, was reintroduced in the v31.40 Fortnitemares update, which coincided with the Halloween-themed LEGO pieces’ availability. Setting up split-screen is straightforward; players simply connect a second controller and log in with their respective accounts.
