Since its inception in July, one of the standout features of Zenless Zone Zero has been the Bangboo. These whimsical devices, available in various designs, engage fans with their amusing animations. Furthermore, Bangboo serves a functional role in combat, acting as an additional member of the player’s team that can inflict damage. Players can obtain two tiers of Bangboo: A-Rank and the more potent S-Rank. The introduction of the S-Rank Bangboo Agent Gulliver, specially related to Section 6 in Version 1.4, has sparked interest, particularly with this new event on the horizon.

In addition to the highly anticipated Agent Gulliver, Version 1.4 also introduced two new S-Rank characters from Section 6: Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumas, the latter of which players received for free. Despite these new additions, some players voiced concerns regarding certain changes brought on by the 1.4 update, alleging censorship. In response, developer HoYoverse reverted the controversial camera-angle tweaks and awarded fans with complimentary Polychrome as a form of compensation.
