Recently, the modding community unveiled an exciting new project titled “A Galaxy Story” for Super Mario Odyssey. This modification incorporates numerous gameplay elements and worlds from the beloved Super Mario Galaxy. Originally launched in 2017, Super Mario Odyssey is often regarded as one of Nintendo’s premier 3D platformers. Even seven years post-launch, it enjoys a loyal fan base, with dedicated individuals actively creating mods to enhance or expand the game experience.
Super Mario Galaxy, which debuted on the Nintendo Wii in 2007, captured players’ hearts with its whimsical plots, like Bowser’s familiar abduction of Princess Peach. The game is celebrated for its innovative platforming, featuring captivating worlds such as toy-themed planets and exhilarating manta ray surfing. Many fans regard it as one of the finest entries in the Mario series.
Helmed by Slycer, the modding team responsible for “A Galaxy Story”announced the project with a captivating trailer released by SitBar earlier this month. This mod will adapt various popular levels from Super Mario Galaxy for use within Super Mario Odyssey’s unique engine. Iconic locations like Toy Time Galaxy, Space Junk Galaxy, and Gold Leaf Galaxy will be part of this exciting expansion, offering players the opportunity to discover 400 brand-new Power Moons/Stars as they embark on a range of missions tailored to Odyssey’s gameplay style. The mod’s anticipated launch is set for 2025.
