Dota 2 TI 13: Peak Viewership and Important Matches

The peak viewership occurred on September 15 during the grand finals between Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators, where total viewers soared to 1,523,957, resulting in a thrilling conclusion won by Team Liquid. Although this figure is commendable, it reflects a slight decrease compared to past years.

TI 13 is now recognized as the fifth most-watched International in terms of peak viewership, trailing the all-time high set by International 10, which boasted over 2.7 million peak viewers in 2021.

Curiously, even though Team Liquid clinched the championship, they were not the overall most-watched team. They secured the third spot in terms of total viewing hours with 11.5 million hours, while Gaimin Gladiators topped the list with 16.1 million hours, followed by Tundra Esports with 13.9 million hours.

To put it in perspective, the 2021 edition (TI 10) holds the title of the most-watched TI of all time, with a peak viewership exceeding 2.7 million and a total of 107 million hours watched.

One possible influence on this year’s decline could be attributed to the prize pool size. This year’s pool amounted to $2.5 million, a drop from last year’s $3.28 million.
