Tori Kelly’s Latest Album Released Earlier This Year

Known professionally as Victoria Loren Kelly, she has built a substantial fanbase with her successful projects since her debut in 2003. Her most recent album, titled “Tori,”was released on April 5, 2024, featuring 15 tracks in its lineup.

Kelly took on the role of producer for the album alongside notable collaborators such as Jon Bellion, The Diner, P2J, and more. In a recent interview with Billboard Philippines, Kelly discussed the success of her new album, expressing her joy that the project evolved during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She revealed that she was previously working on a different album and expressed:

“It was a lot more sad and personal and was going through a lot of heavy things. So I think having healed from all of that, coming out of this time where we were all in lockdown. And then just feeling like I want to get out there and to dance more – to sing fun songs and just have a good time.”

The 31-year-old artist shared her thoughts on the album title, stating it was her decision to name it “Tori.”She explained:

“When I look at artists who have done self-titled albums, it kind of does seem like a statement – you know, like they’re taking ownership of their career. And they’re really becoming their own person or stepping into themselves more. So I took inspiration from that because that is how I felt and got to work on this whole album with the amazing John Bellion.”

Kelly described Bellion as a “phenomenal writer and producer,”emphasizing her desire to create songs that would be enjoyable to sing along to in the car. She noted that the creative team was inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s, calling it her favorite musical era.

The Wildomar, California native’s previous album, “A Tori Kelly Christmas,”was released in 2020 and reached the 192nd spot on the US Billboard 200.
