What Transpired Between Meredith and Whitney in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 Episode 1?

During the “Besos”party, Meredith approached Whitney to discuss her business endeavors. She was convinced that Whitney was imitating her ideas. First, Whitney launched a jewelry line, Prism Lifestyle Co., followed by a line of bath products called Wild Rose Beauty. Aware that she also operated in these markets, Meredith felt suspicious about Whitney’s motives.

“What is up with the bath bombs?”Meredith asked.

She expressed that every time she revealed a business idea, Whitney would inevitably launch a similar one shortly after. Therefore, she questioned Whitney if there was an underlying issue or rivalry brewing between them. In response, Whitney claimed:

“I have no problem with you. I think that you’re reading way too much into this.”

Whitney mentioned that their conversation felt like “déjà vu,”recalling a similar discussion from the previous season, where Meredith believed Whitney was trying to embarrass her regarding her marriage and bathtub. Whitney humorously noted that Meredith was “spending too much time in the bathtub,”which was making her mind “shriveled up and pruned.”

Whitney also revealed she had previously sold bath bombs.

“If you were a friend, you’d know I’ve already sold bath bombs. That’s how I launched my business…You bought Iris and Beau [Whitney’s business] and put it in your store,”Whitney explained.

Meredith countered that she was unaware of Whitney’s store selling bath bombs, leading Whitney to apologize for not sending some samples her way and expressing disappointment that Meredith doubted their friendship over such an issue.
