Rihanna made a stunning appearance in London to celebrate the launch of the Fenty Hair Mane Street Pop-up, in partnership with StudioXAG and Selfridges, on September 16, 2024.
The iconic “Rude Boy”singer arrived at the event wearing a striking wrap dress that resembled a luxurious bathrobe. According to a press release, her custom butter yellow dress designed by Jacquemus was crafted from recycled feathers and drew inspiration from the fashion house’s La Casa collection.
This bold fashion choice from the Fenty Beauty mogul received widespread admiration, with one fan commenting:
“Gonna go out in my robe asap!!! Listennnnnnn”
Many fans praised Rihanna’s hair color, mentioning her stunning black locks.
However, some fans were less focused on her fashion choices and urged her to drop a new album instead.
Rihanna’s Jacquemus robe inspired by the Caruso coat
As reported by Page Six, the 36-year-old superstar was seen in a rendition of the Jacquemus Caruso Coat, retailing for $2,230, featuring exaggerated lapels and a detachable belt.
Rihanna’s custom version of the coat showcased a low neckline and chic collars, complete with a high slit that accentuated her legs as she posed for photographs.
The statement dress was paired with elegant golden pointy-toed heels from Amina Muaddi. Rihanna’s hair, styled in sleek black waves with a side part, beautifully framed her face. She opted for a nude makeup palette with glossy lips, complemented by golden jewelry—drop earrings and a ring—matching her footwear.
After arriving at the venue, Rihanna changed into a different outfit. Her new look featured a vintage brown slip dress by John Galliano, adorned with floral details and ruffles from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2006 collection.
For her new ensemble, she swapped her pumps for strappy open-toed heels, while keeping her glamorous black curls and switching her makeup to bold red lips.
While announcing the launch of Fenty Hair at Selfridges, Rihanna expressed:
“The UK holds a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to be launching Fenty Hair internationally first into Selfridges. I can’t wait for our UK community to discover the right products for their hair types in real life on Mane Street.”
The Fenty Hair Mane Street campaign will run until September 28, 2024, featuring pop-up events at Manchester from September 9 to September 22, 2024, and Selfridges Birmingham from October 14 to October 27, 2024.
In a promotional video for the launch of Fenty Hair shared on Instagram in June 2024, Rihanna discussed her motivation for creating the hair product line:
“I wanted to create a lineup of products that are easy to use. I also needed products that can keep up with me and fit into my lifestyle.”
Rihanna’s recent appearance in London for Fenty Hair comes amid speculation about her ninth studio album, affectionately dubbed R9 by her fans.
According to an exclusive report by The Sun released on August 13, 2024, the highly anticipated album is expected to be unveiled soon, along with plans for her to headline the Glastonbury festival in 2025 as well.
