Final Fantasy 14 Announces Resumption Date for Housing Demolitions

Final Fantasy 14 Announces Resumption Date for Housing Demolitions

Overview of Upcoming Housing Demolitions in Final Fantasy 14

  • Automatic housing demolitions for Final Fantasy 14 will recommence on January 8 in North America.
  • This will specifically affect the Aether, Primal, Crystal, and Dynamis Data Centers only.
  • Players can extend their demolition timers back to 45 days by entering their homes prior to January 8.

Square Enix has made an important announcement for Final Fantasy 14 players regarding the reinstatement of automatic housing demolitions. Set to begin on January 8, this restart comes just shy of two weeks before the highly anticipated Patch 7.16 is released. Players situated in the Aether, Crystal, Dynamis, and Primal Data Centers should act swiftly to enter their homes, thereby resetting their demolition timers to the full 45-day limit.

Way back on October 2, Square Enix paused the automatic demolition timers due to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene in various parts of the eastern and southern United States. Expressing empathy for affected players, the company implemented a temporary moratorium during which timers were halted, ensuring that no plots were at risk during that critical time frame. Currently, with the timers still suspended, homeowners have the opportunity to secure their properties by entering their homes before the imminent deadline.

While automatic housing demolition rules fluctuate across different regions, North America is set to have its timers resumed shortly. According to the Lodestone, the reinstatement will take effect at 3:00 AM Eastern Time on January 8, nearly three months following the initial pause. Players with homes at risk of demolition will receive email notifications when just ten days remain before the demolition is scheduled to occur. Square Enix has urged those who receive such notices to promptly log in and enter their residences to initiate the reset process. Notably, any member of a free company can reset the demolition timer for their group’s house, whereas individual owners can only reset their personal homes.

  • Final Fantasy 14’s automatic housing demolitions will be back on January 8 in North America.
  • This resumption occurs three months after the timers were paused because of Hurricane Helene.
  • The affected players are those in the Aether, Primal, Crystal, and Dynamis Data Centers.
  • To avoid loss, players can reset their demolition timers by visiting their homes before January 8.

It’s important to note that the upcoming housing demolition activity is exclusive to North America, with European housing plots still under the ongoing moratorium. Players can check their demolition timers in-game by navigating to the Timers menu and selecting the Estate tab, where relevant options will appear to inform them of their housing status based on remaining days before potential loss.

This impending shift in housing management arrives just prior to the launch of Patch 7.16, which is expected to conclude the Role Quests of Dawntrail. The community is eager to see how many players will need to adapt to these changes once the demolition process resumes.
