Released on December 17, Patch 7.15 not only unfolds the next segment of the Hildibrand quest line but also adjusts PVP jobs in the ever-popular MMORPG. Additionally, the patch offers fresh opportunities for crafters and gatherers, addressing a series of lingering game issues.
As the year’s closing patch, Patch 7.15 concludes a vibrant 2024 for Final Fantasy 14, a year characterized by major events such as the rollout of the Dawntrail expansion and a monumental graphical revamp since A Realm Reborn. Patch 7.15 is noteworthy as it represents the third significant update since November’s 7.1 Crossroads introduction, which added the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series and advanced the Dawntrail storyline, while also refining glamour and housing systems.
Available now for download across all platforms, Patch 7.15 occupies approximately 484 MB of storage space on Windows PCs. Players eager for quests will discover three new additions throughout Tuliyollal: “Appreciated Value” concludes the Wachumeqimeqi narrative, while “Laying New Tracks” kicks off the first Custom Delivery quest for Dawntrail. Additionally, a new chapter in the beloved Hildibrand series invites players to embark on a quest to locate the missing inspector, Hildibrand Manderville, who has experienced misadventures in Thavnair during Endwalker. Note that completion of previous Hildibrand quests is necessary to access this latest installment.
The 7.15 update continues the trajectory set by Patch 7.11, targeting balance adjustments within the PVP arena. Notable nerfs were applied to Astrologian, Samurai, and Paladin, whereas buffs were introduced for Bard, Viper, and Black Mage, enhancing their PVP capabilities. Importantly, there were no changes to PVE jobs in this patch.
One of the patch’s most prominent features is the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) alliance raid, slated to launch on December 24, 2024. Players wishing to preview rewards from the upcoming raid can do so by consulting Uah’shepya in Solution Nine.
Moreover, Patch 7.15 addresses various PVP action inconsistencies and enhances the Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) raid experience. With the arrival of Patch 7.15 coinciding with the festive Starlight Celebration, players have an array of activities to dive into.
