Florence Pugh recently shared her aspirations to “go and find love,”influenced by her role in the upcoming film, We Live In Time. This new perspective on romance was sparked by her experiences during the filmmaking process.
In We Live In Time, Pugh stars alongside Andrew Garfield, with direction by John Crowley. During her interview with British Vogue for their September 18 issue, Pugh expressed that her experience on the film has encouraged her to take an “active part”in her decisions, including her approach to love, stating:
“I was at the right age for this movie to land. I was going through a lot of weird stuff with relationships last year, and I think part of the story is to not be passive, is not to let things wash over you. I want to go and find love, and I want to have babies.”
Florence Pugh has also been contemplating starting a family, fueled by her love for children and her own upbringing in a large family. She shared that during dinner parties, she often finds herself engaging with kids, indicating her fondness for their company.
Florence Pugh Discusses Love and Her Current Relationship
In her interview with British Vogue, Florence Pugh revealed that she is currently in a relationship, exploring her thoughts and values about love. The Father of the Bride actress articulated that one of her beliefs is that “if magic is real, then it’s falling in love.”
She described her approach to love, stating:
“I am someone that loves falling in love. I love looking after people. I love caring for people. I love the feeling of someone being there. I love knowing that someone is thinking about me and someone cares for me in the same way that I’m thinking about caring for them.”
While she did not disclose names, Pugh mentioned that there is someone special in her life, and together they are “figuring out what [they] actually are.”She also revealed her new approach to relationships, expressing a willingness to “go on a roller-coaster”for the first time and allowing things to “evolve”authentically.
Throughout the profile, Pugh candidly reflected on her past relationship with Zack Braff, which garnered significant media attention due to their 21-year age difference. She explained to British Vogue that she felt compelled to be public about their relationship because they faced bullying for their age gap.
Initially, their relationship was private “until it was nasty,”and she believed it was her duty to protect both him and their families by speaking up. Florence Pugh and Zack Braff were together from 2019 until 2022.
We Live In Time, featuring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, is set to premiere in U.S. cinemas on October 11, 2024.
