Mike Wolfe took to Instagram on October 1st to express his sorrow and pay tribute to his long-time friend, while other cast members like Danielle Colby and Robert Wolfe also shared heartfelt sentiments on social media (via Parade).
Notably, this was not the first stroke that Fritz experienced; he had previously suffered one in 2022 after departing from American Pickers. His last months were reportedly filled with emotional pain, as he struggled with the aftermath of his exit from the show in 2021, coupled with the end of an engagement to Diann Bankson.
Additionally, Fritz was dealing with significant physical discomfort prior to his death. His longtime manager, Bill Stansey, confirmed his battle with Crohn’s disease, a digestive disorder.
