Future In-Game Content Plans for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Game Freak may still have plans for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While fans eagerly anticipate Pokémon Legends Z-A, scheduled for a 2025 release, it’s expected that the next core series installment won’t debut until 2026. This leaves room for speculation that the developers have additional content in store for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet beyond the already established Tera Raid Battles and Mass Outbreak events.

Recent insights from the Teraleak leaker suggest that there could indeed be more to come.

Possible New Content for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

@CentroLeaks relayed information from the leaker, which included the following statement:

“Leaking Titan might cause Game Freak to consider stopping events, even when they may still have some planned.”

Centro Leaks further elaborated that the leaker opted against disclosing the source code of Scarlet and Violet (codenamed Titan) due to concerns over potentially jeopardizing any upcoming Generation IX in-game events, along with sensitive details regarding the Nintendo Switch 2.

This leads Centro Leaks to speculate about an “upcoming event for a new Mythical Pokémon”within Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and that Game Freak may indeed be developing a Nintendo Switch 2 adaptation for the current Generation IX titles. However, as is the case with all leaks, it’s impossible to verify these claims until Game Freak officially confirms any developments.

Recent leaks involving Game Freak have touched on various interesting topics, such as beta Pokémon sprites, the lore of the Pokémon universe, and source code revelations.
