To start the quest, locate NPC Ma’chah by the hot spring. Engaging with him triggers a cutscene where he shares his ambition to become the strongest by revitalizing the cold spring through intense training. He is determined to restore its heat fueled by his ‘intensity.’

Another NPC, Yoleehe, elaborates that Ma’chah’s motivation stems from The Book of Five Springs, expressing concern that his master will not leave until he accomplishes his goal of boiling the cold water with pure determination. As a result, he seeks assistance from the Traveler.

Follow Your Tepetlisaurus to the Geothermal Vent

Upon completion of the cutscene, your Tepetlisaurus will dash away towards a Geothermal Vent. It’s crucial to note that Paimon hints at attacking this vent as a possible solution to warm the spring water.

Utilize Plunge Attacks or direct strikes with a Tatankasaurus’ downward stomp ability to effectively destroy the Geothermal Vent.

Interact with Linaha and Eliminate Two More Vents

After you eliminate the first Geothermal Vent, a baby Koholosaurus will emerge from it, revealing it had been obstructing the vent and hindering the hot spring’s heat. Linaha, an NPC, introduces himself as the caretaker of the Koholosaurus, explaining that it had escaped.

Post-cutscene, proceed to follow your Tepetlisaurus to locate and destroy the remaining two Geothermal Vents in the same manner as before to restore warmth to the spring.

Return to Linaha to Conclude the Quest
