Since Ororon’s official announcement, players have been buzzing with speculation about his rarity. He has already appeared in-game, notably during the Natlan Archon quests, which led many to speculate that he might be a 5-star character.

Nevertheless, several leaks have consistently suggested that Ororon will be a 4-star character. This revelation has disappointed many players, leading a segment of the community to advocate for his enhancement to a 5-star ranking prior to his release.

Following the posting of Ororon’s drip marketing on the Genshin Impact Bilibili account, numerous Chinese players began to express their discontent regarding his rarity. Since then, the number of comments urging HoYoverse to upgrade Ororon to a 5-star character has surged, now totaling around 80,000.

Compounding this situation, a prominent Weibo account conducted a poll asking which character players would choose between Ororon and Chasca in version 5.2. The results heavily favored Ororon, indicating that many players are inclined to summon him despite his 4-star rating, over Chasca, who is slated to be a 5-star character.

Moreover, many players in China have voiced dissatisfaction with HoYoverse’s marketing tactics for their new characters. They argue that Ororon is receiving less promotional support than Chasca, which they feel is unjust. There have also been discussions about HoYoverse seemingly prioritizing female characters over their male counterparts.

As of now, HoYoverse has not commented on these concerns, leaving it uncertain whether the developers will respond to the demand for Ororon’s rarity adjustment from 4-star to 5-star.
