The highly anticipated release of Genshin Impact version 5.5 has opened the gates to the formidable Great Volcano of Tollan. This towering natural feature, which has loomed over the Natlan region since version 5.0, is finally accessible to players. After a lengthy wait, HoYoverse has unveiled the volcano, and it promises to be a stunning adventure.
Deep within the Great Volcano lies the ancient city of dragons, referred to as the Ancient Sacred Mountain. To gain entry to this magnificent structure, players must first complete two essential quests: The Way Into the Mountain and Nahuatzin’s Leap.
Upon successfully navigating into the volcano, players will embark on an exciting series of quests known as Chronicler of the Crumbling City, which consists of 10 distinct quests. In this guide, we will focus on In Search of a Hidden Heart, a crucial minor quest within this overarching narrative of Genshin Impact.

Unlocking the In Search of a Hidden Heart Quest
To initiate the In Search of a Hidden Heart quest, players must first complete Nahuatzin’s Leap. Afterward, finish the quest titled The Frozen, Rekindling Land, which involves activating two sealed Astral Assemblages, guided by a Secret Source Servant named Amaru.
Upon activating the Astral Assemblages, players can descend using the Celestial Axis to access the lower regions of the Ancient Sacred Mountain. Completing The Frozen, Rekindling Land will automatically unlock the next quest, In Search of a Hidden Heart, which can be located within the Chronicler of the Crumbling City section of your World Quests tab.
Once the quest appears in your list, selecting it will place a marker on your map, guiding you to a teleport point near a gathering of Secret Source Servants. Interact with the larger servant to commence the In Search of a Hidden Heart quest.
Completing the In Search of a Hidden Heart Quest
The In Search of a Hidden Heart quest is relatively straightforward and serves as a stepping stone toward more complex quests within the Chronicler of the Crumbling City series.
To complete this quest, simply pose the question to the Secret Source Servant: “How do we enter the Heart of the Sacred Mountain?”
The servant’s response will guide you, disclosing the requirement of a permit for entry into the Heart of the Sacred Mountain. This will conclude the quest.
Upon finishing the discussion with the Secret Source Servant, you will unlock additional quests in Genshin Impact, including Where Once There Was a Calculation Array and Once, the Sacred Seat of Judgment.
