Genshin Impact has unveiled an exciting array of rewards for its upcoming Version 5.3, which offers players incentives including a free glider and a selection of skins and characters. The generosity coming from Natlan towards the Genshin Impact community is clear. Notably, the previous Version 5.0 not only launched the Capturing Radiance event but also revamped the Weapon Banner, benefiting players significantly. Furthermore, during the fourth anniversary celebrations, players were given the opportunity to select a character from the Standard Banner at no cost.
This trend of philanthropy continues with the Lantern Rite, which promises a delightful experience. Embracing the themes of reuniting and celebration, the event introduces Lan Yan, a weaver from Chenyu Vale, alongside characters like Hu Tao and Xiangling, the latter of whom will receive a new skin. Building upon the format of past Lantern Rites, participants can engage in various mini-games, including combat scenarios, and earn Primogems by fulfilling event tasks.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has detailed the entire list of rewards for the event, which includes a 4-Star character picker available during the Lantern Rite. By successfully completing the Flagship Event in Version 5.3, players can summon a 4-Star character from Liyue, including the newly introduced Lan Yan. Additionally, login rewards will provide 10 Intertwined Wishes, while players can claim 1600 Primogems through the in-game mail system. To top it off, participating in the Lantern Rite will grant players the new Xiangling skin at no cost, and a special Xbox glider can be unlocked across various platforms for a limited period.

While Lan Yan is accessible through the Lantern Rite event, she will also be made available in Event Banners during the latter half of Version 5.3. From a gameplay perspective, she distinguishes herself as the game’s inaugural Anemo Shield Support character. Notably, her Shield offers unique capabilities, absorbing additional elemental effects at the moment of her Elemental Skill activation, and she receives an extra charge at her sixth constellation level (C6). Scheduled for release on January 1, 2025, the Lantern Rite will commence in the second phase of Version 5.3, generating excitement among players eager for new content and features.
