Team GodLike’s Performance in COD Mobile Summer Invitational 2024
Team GodLike faced a challenging start in their match against Elevate, succumbing to a score of 175-250. Although the Indian squad led by Learn recovered by claiming the second round with a score of 9-7, they could not sustain this momentum in the third round, resulting in their elimination from the COD Mobile competition. This match was conducted in a best-of-five (Bo5) format, with GodLike receiving a prize of 15,000 yuan (around $2,100).
Recently, Team GodLike has struggled to find their top form, particularly during the past few months. Their performance in the Group Stage of this Summer Invitational was disappointing, although they did finish as runners-up in the regional Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6. Looking ahead, the team will now focus on preparing for the COD Mobile World Championship 2024 Stage 5, scheduled to take place next month in the United States.
Another Indian team, Team Vitality, encountered difficulties during the opening day of the Summer International Knockout as they lost their initial game against XROCK. Nevertheless, they have an opportunity to bounce back, facing Wolves in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals on Day 2.
Stalwart Esports from the Philippines, who previously had an impressive run in the Group Stage, also faced defeat in their first Knockout match against Qing Jiu Club. The second day of the Summer Invitational Knockout is set to occur on September 20, 2024.
