The LEGO Fortnite Odyssey has recently enhanced its gameplay experience with the exciting Mechanical Mayhem update, which introduces various types of vehicles. Players can now unlock a series of nine distinct vehicle blueprints, each designed to navigate uniquely across a range of biomes.
Utilizing these vehicles significantly enhances resource collection capabilities, especially when traversing long distances, making them essential for any serious player.
Updated on December 27, 2024, by Nathan Round: The addition of Metal Plates has led to modifications in existing vehicle build recipes, prompting an update to this guide. It now includes the latest vehicle entries: the Lil’ Barge, Storm Chaser, Airship, and Crusher.
How to Build a Custom Vehicle
For players interested in personalizing their gaming experience, the custom vehicle feature allows for unique creations. To successfully design a custom vehicle, gather the following essential components:
- Vehicle Base: This foundational element can be crafted using Wood and Granite.
- Power Center: Essential for powering the vehicle; requires Power Cells for operation. The more Power Cells you integrate, the longer it can run.
- Wheels: Integral for movement, with options for Powered Wheels or Turnable Wheels. Players can customize the direction of the wheels for better handling.
- Driver’s Seat: This is necessary for controlling the vehicle. Additional seats can be added for passengers.
With these components, players are free to construct a vehicle in any preferred style, ensuring it has at least one Power Center, Wheels, and a Driver’s Seat.
How to Build a Speeder
The Speeder offers a swift mode of transportation between biomes. To unlock its blueprint, players must first craft a Power Cell.
The crafting process starts with creating a Compost Bin, which converts old resources into energy. From there, players can recycle resources into Biomass. The final mix of Biomass and Glass at the Crafting Bench yields a Power Cell.
Building the Speeder requires the following materials:
- 14 Wooden Rods
- 8 Cords
- 2 Planks
- 4 Wood
- 13 Granite
Once gathered, players must progress through four build stages, and remember to include a Power Cell to make it operable.
How to Build an Offroader
The Offroader is an expansive vehicle designed for multiple passengers. To build it, players need the following resources:
- 20 Wooden Rods
- 34 Wood
- 2 Torches
- 2 Glass
- 31 Granite
- 9 Planks
- 8 Metal Plates
- 8 Cords
- 8 Granite Slabs
After collecting these items, players can move through five building stages. A Power Cell is also required for operation.
How to Build a Hauler
The Hauler is specifically designed for transporting heavy loads. To craft this vehicle, players will need:
- 54 Wooden Rods
- 102 Wood
- 2 Torches
- 2 Glass
- 63 Granite
- 42 Metal Plates
- 10 Planks
- 8 Cords
Players can then progress through seven build stages. Like the others, the Hauler requires Power Cells for functionality.
How to Build a Kart Racer
The Kart Racer is another exciting vehicle introduced in the v30.40 update, designed for speedy travel. Once a Power Cell is obtained, players can gather these materials to construct the Kart Racer:
- 16 Wooden Rods
- 11 Wood
- 24 Granite
- 8 Cords
- 4 Granite Slabs
- 4 Metal Plates
- 4 Planks
After securing the necessary components, players can navigate through five building stages to complete their Kart Racer. Like others, it also necessitates Power Cells to operate.
How to Build an Offroad Flyer
With advanced functionality, the Offroad Flyer is equipped for various terrains and supports Thrusters and Activated Balloons for aerial navigation. To construct this vehicle, players require:
- 32 Wooden Rods
- 39 Wood
- 13 Torches
- 8 Blast Powder
- 6 Silk Fabric
- 2 Glass
- 40 Granite
- 13 Cords
- 8 Metal Plates
- 6 Planks
Players can progress through six construction stages to complete their build. Remember, Power Cells are necessary for operation.
How to Build a Lil’ Barge
The Lil’ Barge offers a distinctive building experience, primarily functioning as a boat in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. However, it is not advantageous to build it on land.
To unlock the building recipe, players must advance in the Storm King’s questline. Once achieved, the build requires:
- 37 Wooden Rods
- 74 Granite
- 47 Wood
- 6 Torches
- 4 Blast Powder
- 2 Planks
- 2 Cords
- 2 Glass
Players can complete this build in six stages, but notably, the Lil’ Barge does not require Power Cells to function.
How to Build a Storm Chaser
The Storm Chaser arrives with the Lil’ Barge, offering a unique three-wheel design and equipped with thrusters for quick movement. Functionally, it has robust rear support but delicate bumpers.
To obtain the Storm Chaser recipe, players must build it at the Storm Chaser Base Camp during their mission for the Tempest Gateway’s activation. The necessary materials include:
- 18 Wooden Rods
- 32 Granite
- 12 Wood
- 11 Metal Plates
- 8 Cords
- 4 Granite Slabs
- 4 Torches
- 2 Blast Powder
- 2 Planks
- 2 Glass
Once players assemble these items, they can finish building the Storm Chaser through five designated stages, with a Power Cell required for its operation.
How to Build an Airship
Offering a one-of-a-kind experience, the Airship operates purely in an aerial capacity, featuring Activated Balloons that allow for altitude control as well as Thrusters for navigation.
Players unlock the Airship recipe by creating a Loom and crafting Silk Fabric. Constructing the vehicle requires the following materials:
