LEGO Fortnite Odyssey has introduced the intriguing Storm Chasers questline, presenting players with exciting new challenges, culminating in a climactic battle against the Storm King.
As adventurers navigate through the Storm Chasers Journal, they’ll encounter various objectives, including the essential task of enhancing the Storm Chaser Base Camp. This involves defeating the formidable Storm Acolytes and traversing the perilous Storm biome. Yet, many players may find themselves puzzled about how to gain access to a Storm Cave, which is vital for completing weekly quests and advancing the Base Camp to level 7.
Finding Storm Caves
Storm Caves, alternatively referred to as Storm Dungeons, are distinctive landmarks situated exclusively within the Storm biome. Identifiable by the conspicuous swirling purple storm overhead, these biomes are best located after reaching Storm Chaser Base Camp level 6. At this stage, players receive an upgraded compass from Dr. Borrasca, enabling them to pinpoint the locations of every Storm biome on the map and compass.
Upon identifying the Storm biome, players should head towards the central mountain, where a Rift awaits entrance to a Storm Cave. To access the cave, simply walk through this Rift.
Reasons to Explore a Storm Cave
While initially, entering a Storm Cave may appear unfruitful, players can discover several rewarding opportunities within. Upon entering, adventurers will encounter a second Rift. To unlock this, they must find and destroy three Storm Crystals scattered across the cave’s first layers. Once accomplished, they can access a Chest, which may yield valuable items like an Eye of the Storm or Rift Crystals.
After using the newly acquired Rift, players will find themselves in a section where they must fend off waves of spawners, which include Storm Acolytes and other foes. Successfully defeating these enemies yields Greater Storm Cores and occasionally Rift Crystals, both of which enhance the capacity to claim Legendary Items. Additionally, players might also gather Eyes of the Storm, vital components for energizing the Tempest Gateway.
Once players have cleared the initial waves, another Chest will appear containing a Storm Rune, along with yet another Rift. By entering this new Rift, players will need to repeat the process of unlocking another Rift by destroying further Storm Crystals. This time, as they enter the new Rift, they will confront even more challenging waves of enemies, increasing the likelihood of acquiring Eyes of the Storm and Rift Crystals. This makes the cavern an optimal spot for farming these essential resources.
