The Cold Iron Leaves in Black Myth: Wukong are an essential resource for unlocking new and powerful armor pieces. Players can find these valuable items in various locations as they progress through the game. As you navigate through the later chapters, crafting high-quality armor will become necessary, and you’ll need advanced upgrade materials like Cold Iron Leaves.
This guide aims to provide detailed information on how to obtain Cold Iron Leaves in Black Myth: Wukong.
Obtaining Cold Iron Leaves in Black Myth: Wukong
Cold Iron Leaves are not a limited resource; you will first encounter them in Chapter 3 of the game. During your exploration of this chapter, you can find chests and various containers that will yield additional Cold Iron Leaves.
The most reliable way to acquire these leaves is by defeating formidable enemies. Although these foes can pose a challenge, it’s crucial to strategize in order to defeat powerful Yaoguai. Upon defeating these enemies, you can obtain approximately 15 Cold Iron Leaves during your initial playthrough in Chapter 3. Most of these foes can be found along the main story route.
Using Cold Iron Leaves in Black Myth: Wukong
Cold Iron Leaves are classified as an Epic crafting material, which can be used to create Epic armor pieces once you reach Chapter 3. Future armor sets will require even more materials; thus, it is wise to use the Cold Iron Leaves you collect to craft the armor sets available in this chapter, such as the Thunderveins armor set and the Raging Sandstorm armor set.
Keep in mind that Cold Iron Leaves cannot be used for weapon upgrades, as those require different resources. Therefore, there are no downsides to using Cold Iron Leaves right away, as you will gather enough to craft both armor sets.
However, it is recommended to delay changing armor sets until you have enough pieces to receive the full armor set bonus. Otherwise, you might find yourself at a disadvantage when facing the challenging bosses in the third chapter of Black Myth: Wukong.
