Heather from The Circle Expresses Emotion Over Alliance Struggles: “I’m Just Never Anyone’s Favourite”

The Circle, season 7, debuted on September 11 with the release of its first four episodes on Netflix. The next set of episodes, specifically episodes 5 to 8, premiered on September 18. As the competition heats up, the contestant pool shrinks, and a new player joins the ranks, intensifying the game.

In episode 6, ratings took a dip for yet another contestant. This time, however, the lowest-rated player faced immediate elimination, contrasting with previous episodes where the highest-rated contestants were granted influencer status.

Heather, who was masquerading as Andy, was eliminated in episode 7 when the ratings were announced. She had anticipated this outcome due to the lack of support from her allies, Madelyn and Kevin, and the aggressive stance of her rivals, Gianna and Rachel.

Before the ratings reveal, Heather sought comfort from her #BroCode ally, Darian. Emotionally, she confided to the cameras:

“I’m just never anyone’s favourite. That’s all. I’m never anyone’s number one.”

This reflected a deeper sentiment, extending beyond the game and into her personal life, which led her to shed tears.

Why did The Circle contestant Heather become emotional in episode 6?

Heather was aware that her catfish persona, Andy, had been vulnerable since the last elimination. Kevin, who held influencer status, had exposed Gianna’s intention to target Andy.

Kevin’s defense came after Gianna accused him of abandoning an alliance and eliminating his Circle partner, Savannah. He asserted that his loyalty to Andy in their #BroCode alliance was stronger, prompting his difficult decision.

The Scarlotta Twins disguised as Gianna pondered their next move against Andy after he mock-blocked her in the pilot episode. Savannah had been eliminated for Andy’s sake in the last blocking round, making Heather aware of the potential threat she faced. Andy’s situation worsened when he received an Alliance Breaker card in the Wild Cards game, which had been assigned anonymously by Gianna.

This card cast a negative light on Andy, increasing Heather’s anxiety. In a conversation with Darian, her ally, she questioned why Andy received the Alliance Breaker card despite his loyalty.

Opening up about her insecurities, Heather expressed that in her real life, she often felt unloved. With tears in her eyes, she received a reassuring message from Darian, who promised that his priority would always lie with his allies, refusing to be swayed by any of The Circle’s strategies. This affirmation touched Heather deeply, prompting her to share:

“At home…I doubt myself a lot. I’ve never felt like anybody really wants me. And I just don’t feel like I’m anyone’s number one. I mean, I know I got Maddy[Madelyn] but like, Do I? I have to question that.”

She candidly expressed her feelings of uncertainty and isolation, both in her personal life and within the game. As she disclosed her feelings to Darian, she remarked:

“At home, although my band is my family, I’m still a freelance worker and don’t entirely know where I stand sometimes.”

Heather added:

“Because of that I often experience bouts of self-doubt, and this game is really putting me back in that place. So thank you.”

Darian recognized Heather’s emotional state and offered her reassurance, solidifying his unwavering support.

Episodes 9 and 10 of The Circle season 7 are set to premiere on September 25, exclusively on Netflix.
