Helldivers 2 Guide: Earning Premium Warbonds Tips

Helldivers 2 continually enriches its weapon arsenal, providing players with diverse means to promote democracy across the galaxy. The acquisition of these tools largely hinges on the game’s unique Warbond system, which serves as a battle pass-like mechanism offering an assortment of cosmetics, passive enhancements, and other enticing rewards.

Unlike typical battle passes found in many games, the Warbond system in Helldivers 2 operates with its own distinctive rules. For players aiming to obtain top-tier primary weapons, securing Premium Warbonds is a prerequisite. Below, we outline the essential steps to acquire these valuable resources.

Updated: December 20, 2024 – As the number of Warbonds in Helldivers 2 increases, players may face challenges in gathering the required Super Credits for their purchases.

How to Unlock Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2

Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2

To access the exclusive contents of a Premium Warbond, players must first purchase it. This requires 1000 Super Credits, which can be obtained through real money purchases or earned while completing missions in Helldivers 2. Occasionally, players can find Super Credits stashed within supply drones, locked containers, or two-man doors during missions. Each discovery may yield between 10 to 20 Super Credits, with rare instances providing up to 100 Super Credits from a single source.

Once you’ve amassed enough credits, navigate to the Acquisitions page on your ship by pressing the designated button at the screen’s top. Select the desired Warbond, then confirm the purchase by pressing the button located at the bottom right of the screen.

Understanding Warbonds

Cutting edge armor and weapon in Helldivers 2

Warbonds serve as themed content drops, encompassing a variety of weapons, cosmetics, and boosters. For instance, the “Cutting Edge”Warbond features cutting-edge energy weapons alongside corresponding armor sets, while “Democratic Detonation”focuses on explosive weaponry. While Arrowhead once planned to release new Warbonds monthly, they have since prioritized quality, opting for less frequent launches.

Currently, Helldivers 2 boasts one free Warbond and three Premium variants. However, all Warbonds can be considered accessible to players willing to invest time collecting Super Credits. A notable advantage of Premium Warbonds is their non-expiring nature; players can unlock their contents at any time without pressure.

Items within Warbonds are purchased using Medals, which players earn by completing objectives or locating Medal boxes in points of interest (POIs) throughout the game.

How to Farm Super Credits

With the introduction of new Warbonds, players may find themselves in need of Super Credits. If you’re looking to avoid additional spending, you can effectively farm for Super Credits during missions. Thanks to recent game updates, gathering this currency has become significantly easier compared to its launch.

The most efficient method for farming Super Credits is by completing Difficulty 1 missions on city maps. These missions typically take place in compact, grid-like environments, making it simpler to locate POIs containing Super Credits. To enhance your farming experience, consider using a jump pack, finding a vehicle, or teaming up with friends to explore the map for crashed supplies and other resource points. Once you’ve gathered sufficient loot, you can exit the mission and proceed to another one.
