Honkai: Star Rail Announces Version 3.0 Launch Date and Features

Update Overview

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 is set to debut on January 15, 2025.
The update will unveil the new region of Amphoreus, featuring two new 5-star characters: Herta and Aglaea.
Expect updates to Trailblazer missions, new Lightcones, returning characters, and a fresh main theme composed by Ikura.

Honkai: Star Rail has officially revealed that Version 3.0 will launch on January 15, marking a significant chapter for players as the game transitions from its well-known locale to explore exciting new settings and characters, while still retaining some beloved favorites.

The previous update, Version 2.7, released in December 2024, bid farewell to the enchanting Penacony. This patch introduced players to two new five-star characters, Sunday and Fugue, while also bringing back familiar heroes Jing Yuan and Firefly. Furthermore, it enriched the gameplay experience with two new Lightcones, along with a series of events, missions, and enhancements to the Divergent Universe, Memory of Chaos, and Pure Fiction modes. With the dawn of a new year, HoYoverse is set to elevate the open-world RPG experience with this thrilling update.

Version 3.0 not only promises to be accessible on PC, mobile, and PS5, but it is also confirmed to introduce new characters such as Herta, a 5-star Ice and Erudition character, available from January 14 to February 5. Following her is Aglaea, a 5-star Lightning and Remembrance character, whose availability will extend until at least February 25. Additionally, players can summon Mem, an adorable creature that can assist allies in dealing true damage once its meter fills.

Exploring Amphoreus in Version 3.0

The upcoming update will guide players away from Penacony into the eagerly awaited realm of Amphoreus. The Trailblazer Missions associated with Amphoreus will span from Version 3.0 to Version 3.7, making it the longest narrative arc in the Honkai: Star Rail saga thus far. In addition to the introduction of this new region, players can look forward to meeting new characters, discovering six new Lightcones, and obtaining new items like Variable Dice and Wishful Resin. Additionally, characters from previous updates, including Silver Wolf, Robin, Boothill, Jade, Feixiao, and Lingsha, will be making a return on a rerun banner.
