How to Obtain Sylveon in Pokemon GO

Since its launch during the summer of 2016, Pokemon GO has consistently captivated audiences and generated significant revenue. This mobile game ranks among the highest-grossing titles ever, backed by continuous updates, events, and a fervent community of players that keeps the engagement alive year after year.

Similar to traditional Pokémon games like Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, trainers in Pokemon GO can catch an Eevee and evolve it into one of its eight forms: Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Sylveon, Glaceon, or Leafeon. Each evolution offers unique mechanics, especially for players on their quest to evolve Eevee.

To obtain Sylveon in Pokemon GO, players must first capture an Eevee. Fortunately, Eevee is a common Pokémon, making it relatively easy to find while exploring. There are two primary methods to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, both of which involve collecting hearts and candy.

The first method is to set Eevee as your Buddy Pokémon. By taking Eevee on walks and earning a total of 70 hearts, players can evolve it once they have collected 25 Eevee candies. Walking with Eevee not only fosters a deeper bond but also rewards players with valuable items along the way.

The second method is a more direct approach that involves a naming trick. If players wish to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, they should rename it to “Kira”before feeding it 25 candies. This naming convention is similar to those used for evolving Eevee into its other forms; for instance, renaming it to “Sakura”will transform it into Espeon. However, keep in mind that players can only use the naming trick once per Eeveelution.

For those who prefer the naming trick, just remember that if you wish to evolve another Eevee into Sylveon, you will need to gain friendship levels through earning hearts again. So, it’s wise to use this method strategically, particularly for high-quality Eevees, often referred to as “shundo”(shiny and perfect IVs) or “hundo”(perfect IVs). Evolving such a Pokémon with a unique technique makes the experience even more special.
