Inside, you’ll meet Gina’s contact, Nawal, who provides a crucial Gizeh map that enhances navigation throughout the bustling city.
It is advisable to secure this map before embarking on other quests, as it significantly simplifies the gameplay experience.
After exiting the blue tent, direct your attention to a nearby shack on the left. There, you will find a wanted poster featuring two French men masquerading as diggers; they are implicated in a series of artifact thefts. Feeling a sense of duty, Indy sets off to track down these culprits through the streets of Gizeh.
Tracking the Thieves
Following the Footprints
The quest marker guides Indy to a nearby shack where a spilled red paint bucket and surrounding footprints signal the thieves’ presence. By taking a picture of the scene, Indy deduces that these footprints likely belong to the wanted men, prompting him to follow their trail.
As you track their movements, you will find the footprints winding around corners, leading toward a main road where the trail appears to finish. However, careful observation reveals faint prints in the sand that cross the street, continuing the search.
Keep in mind that the trail of red paint may fade quickly, so look out for regular footprints as well.
Following the trail will eventually lead you into a dark tunnel, necessitating a crouch to proceed. Inside, you’ll encounter a dead end, where a document titled ‘Graverobbing Plan’ can be collected. This piece reveals the thieves’ motives and methods, while a pair of legs protruding from debris implies that the culprits met their demise during an attempt to execute their heist.
Additionally, to the right at this dead end, an Adventure Book labeled True Grit can be obtained. It provides crucial benefits by allowing Indy to sustain less damage when his health is critically low. This enhancement proves vital during intense combat situations where every bit of health can make a difference.
