The game Indiana Jones & The Great Circle presents players with an array of puzzles, among which the challenges linked to the Silver and Gold Forges stand out due to their complexity. These two enigmatic areas are located along distinct paths beneath the Fountain of Confession. Progressing in the storyline necessitates the solutions to both Forges, where fiery hazards await the unwary adventurer.
Gaining access to the hidden route beneath the Fountain of Confession requires navigating through a treacherous corridor filled with swinging blades. Surmounting the obstacles in the Chamber of Tribulations leads to a locked door, which can only be unlocked by activating two mechanisms found along the Silver and Gold Dragon Paths. Each path conceals an intricate puzzle linked to the respective forges.
Guide to the Gold Path Forge
Adjusting Pillars to Ignite Fires
The Gold Forge, situated along the Gold Dragon Path, lies to the right of the main access door in the Monastery Courtyard. Your goal is to activate the Gold Forge to craft the Gold Key, which is essential for advancing in the game. To embark on this puzzle, proceed through the area until you reach a stone wall with a crawlspace.
Follow these simplified steps to successfully solve the Gold Forge puzzle:
- Place the Ancient Bust on a pedestal.
- Utilize chains to maneuver pillars until they create flames.
- Use your whip to swing onto a pillar.
- Instruct Gina to adjust the pillar near the Forge’s upper hole.
- Crawl through the upper wall hole.
- Drop down through the hole in the floor.
- Use chains in the new corridor to position the remaining pillars.
- Pull the lever to activate the Gold Forge.
- Forge the Gold Key.
Commence by crawling through the wall and placing the Ancient Bust on the designated pedestal. Climbing up the stairs will lead you to a chain you can pull, revealing the Gold Forge—a fiery chamber with flames licking through the steel grates on the floor. The room’s ceiling hosts four pillars that require strategic relocation.
Prior to your arrival at the Gold or Silver Forges, ensure you have completed missions to enhance Indiana’s health and stamina, as the flames in this area pose significant threats to your progress.
At the opposite end of the Gold Forge, another locked door marks your path ahead. To begin, leverage the chains to adjust the pillar positions to ignite the flames beneath them. By using your whip on a pole near the ceiling, you can ascend onto one of the pillars and have Gina move it toward the upper wall hole. Access the hole, then drop down into a hallway featuring chains that manipulate the remaining pillars.
Work to set all pillars aflame by repositioning them with the chains. Discover an additional chain that opens a route back into the main Forge. Here, leverage the lever to unlock the previously secured door, thus completing the Gold Forge puzzle and forging the Gold Key.
Guide to the Silver Path Forge
Avoiding Burns in the Silver Forge
The left path leading from the Monastery Courtyard takes you to the expansive Silver Dragon path, which may be worth scouting out with your camera due to its size. This room, significantly larger than the Gold Forge, features a central altar surrounded by steel grates that overlook three platforms—one centered and two at either end.
To conquer the Silver Forge puzzle, follow these procedural steps:
- Locate the Stone Tablet.
- Insert the Stone Tablet into the main altar.
- Swing to the platform hosting another Stone Tablet shrine.
- Hand the Stone Tablet to Gina.
- Climb back to the main altar using nearby ledges.
- Swing to the shrine on the opposite end of the Silver Forge.
- Retrieve the Tablet from Gina.
- Place the Stone Tablet into the shrine.
- Swing back to the main altar.
- Exit the Silver Forge and create the Silver Key.
Before stepping into the room, retrieve the Stone Tablet from a nearby skeleton. When positioned, placing it in the main altar initiates the Forge, engulfing the room in flames and trapping you behind metal bars. To escape without falling victim to the heat, all altars require activation using stone tablets.
Carrying a Stone Tablet slows Indiana’s movements, underscoring the importance of decisiveness as time is limited before the room ignites. Utilize your whip to swing toward the distant platform to collect another Stone Tablet positioned on a shrine. Transfer the Tablet to Gina through the iron bars before scaling a fallen pillar and shimmying across a ledge lined with ancient pottery to return to safety.
Your trusty whip once again plays a critical role; swing to retrieve the Tablet that was handed to Gina. Place it in a corresponding shrine, causing intensified flames while lowering the bars for your escape.
After swinging back, proceed past the iron bars through the newly opened gate in the Silver Forge. Completing this puzzle activates the Silver Forge, producing the Silver Key, necessary for your continued adventure.
Once you secure both the Gold and Silver Keys, insert them into the Ornamented Door within the Monastery Courtyard to advance the storyline in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. Both puzzles unveil opportunities for further exploration as you progress through the intriguing underground narrative.
