The journey begins as Indiana Jones sets off for the Vatican to recover a stolen statue from his college’s museum, challenging him to navigate the formidable Castel Sant’Angelo, which has been overtaken by the authoritarian black shirts.
The initial segment of the game serves as an engaging tutorial, introducing players to the mechanics of weapons and puzzles. Throughout this phase, players can choose to stealthily maneuver through the castel or confront enemies directly. Regardless of the chosen approach, you may encounter a locked Guard House door along your expedition.
Location of the Guard House
The Guard House is strategically situated in the southeastern section of Castel Sant’Angelo. Refer to the black and white arrow on the map above to locate it effectively. The map can be accessed to the right, just before entering the small chapel.
Upon exiting the chapel, Indiana must ascend to the center of the castel to reach the Vatican. Expect to encounter two stationary black shirts and an additional one patrolling the corridor. Neutralize them to continue your journey. The Guard House is conveniently located along the left side of the path, where one black shirt leans against the building while another follows a small patrol route in front.
As you approach the ornately designed door of the Guard House, you’ll quickly realize that a special key is required for entry.
Location of the Guard House Key
Fortunately, the Guard House Key is situated close by. Begin by stealthily taking out the black shirt leaning against the wall. You can do this while waiting for the other guard to exit through a door ahead. Once he is distracted, advance into the small office area. You can then silently defeat the second guard while he is preoccupied with the wall in front of him. Pay close attention to where the black shirt was looking; the key is conveniently located hanging on the wall.
Once you have acquired the Guard House Key, return to the door and unlock it to enter the area. Inside, you’ll find an opportunity to ascend further and utilize this location as a shortcut by accessing another door for a quick exit. Within the Guard House, expect to encounter another black shirt and some scattered revolver ammunition on a desk that you can collect.
