Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Serpent’s Chest in The Great Circle

The Serpent’s Chest is an intriguing mystery featured in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, initially activated in Sukhothai but requiring players to venture across multiple locations, including The Vatican, Gizeh, and Shanghai. To successfully unlock the chest, players must find three ancient keys hidden in these locations.

This treasure chest, discovered at Voss’s camp, was originally transported from Gizeh to Sukhothai by the archaeologist Voss but currently requires several keys for access. Indiana Jones stumbles upon this chest while attempting to pilfer Voss’s gold, thereby triggering the associated mystery.

How To Complete The Serpent’s Chest Mystery

To solve the Serpent’s Chest mystery, players must gather three ancient keys from The Vatican, Gizeh, and Shanghai. Before embarking on this adventure, it is crucial to purchase the Breathing Device, also known as the Rebreather, from Tongdang, who can be found near the village.

Since the Breathing Device is relatively costly, players can activate The Voss’s Gold Stash Fieldwork quest that directs them to Voss’s Camp where they need to steal his fortune. This action leads players to the Serpent Chest, initiating the mystery.

Where To Find The Ancient Vatican Key

To locate the Ancient Vatican Key, open your Journal and fast-travel back to The Vatican. Follow the signs to reach the Tower of Nicholas V. Upon entering, turn left towards the mural where you first poured wine to access a previously hidden area.

Advance past the Sacred Wounds puzzle to approach the secret tomb. Here are the steps you should follow to reach the Ancient Key:

Crawl under the gate marked with number II.
Turn left twice down the stairs.
Crawl through the small opening, then use your whip to elevate to the upper platform.
Go through the door situated above the IV sign.
Jump down and move to the right.
Walk cautiously through the water and take a left.
Crawl through another hole, then jump down.
Navigate left beneath the cross before proceeding left again to reach the underground excavation that has Blackshirts guarding it.
Move towards the large chandelier beside the broken bridge, then leap into the water below.
Dive to the left and use your Breathing Device to navigate through the tunnel to retrieve the Ancient Vatican Key from a broken jar.

Where To Find The Ancient Gizeh Key

Once you’ve returned to Gizeh, your first destination should be the Funerary Temple of Khentkawes I. Make your way to the elevator and find the door adjacent to one showcasing a blue cable. Proceed upstairs until you encounter a blue power source before heading left to dive into the water.

Search for a hole on your right to access a concealed chamber. After clearing an obstruction, dive into a smaller hole to ultimately discover the Ancient Gizeh Key.

Where To Find The Ancient Shanghai Key

After fleeing the Himalayas, Indiana Jones and Gina find themselves in Shanghai, a smaller and more straightforward area to explore. Players will commence their adventure on a rooftop where the characters previously pilfered a plane.

To locate the Ancient Shanghai Key, retrace your path through the fire, navigate across the rooftops toward the broken bridge by the river. Jump into the water, and dive into the corner to remove a wooden block that conceals the treasure—a hidden Ancient Shanghai Key.

With all three ancient keys in hand, make your way back to Voss’s Camp in Sukhothai. Follow the quest markers to unlock the Serpent’s Chest. Once all keys are placed correctly, Indiana Jones will receive a valuable Ancient Relic as a reward, successfully concluding the mystery and earning Adventure Points in the process.
