The vibrant universe of Infinity Nikki is filled with an array of collectibles and treasures that players can discover while striving to become the ultimate stylist in Miraland. With the Power of Infinity, Nikki is equipped with various abilities to aid her quest for unique items, making it crucial for players to harness these skills effectively.
A particularly valuable collectible in Infinity Nikki is Fish. The diverse waters surrounding Miraland are home to a multitude of aquatic species. These fish are vital for several quests and are essential components for crafting special outfits. Mastering the techniques to find and catch these fish is essential for successful gameplay.
Mastering Fish Catching in Infinity Nikki
Throughout your adventures in Infinity Nikki, you will unlock numerous abilities, one of which transforms you into an adept fisher—stylishly, of course. This particular ability is one of the first you can acquire, allowing you to start fishing earlier than expected. To unlock this ability, complete the quest “Unexplained Coma Incidents”in Chapter One, where you will meet Timis at the Daisy Inn in Florawish.
Timis will ask you to catch a fish named the Brusher, prompting you to obtain a complementary ability outfit. To do so, navigate to your Heart of Infinity grid and look for the ‘Rippling Serenity’ outfit on the bottom left. You will need to unlock the sketch node using the required amount of Whimstars and Bling, which are plentiful in Florawish.
To craft the Rippling Serenity outfit, gather the following materials:
- 5 x Daisy (commonly found in grassy regions of Florawish)
- 1 x Foodie Bee (located near hydrangea bushes; gather with the Bug Catcher outfit)
- 1 x Floof Yarn (obtain from Floof dogs in Florawish using the Animal Groomer outfit)
- 72 x Threads of Purity (earned through quests and daily rewards including wishes and Mira Levels)
Once you have collected the necessary items, select ‘Select All’ for the Rippling Serenity outfit in your Sketches menu, then hit ‘Craft’ to create your outfit and unlock the fishing ability. This ability will appear on your Ability Wheel alongside other starter skills like Animal Grooming and Bug Catching.
To catch fish, head to any water source such as ponds, rivers, or coastal areas, and look for distinctive circular ripples indicating a fishing spot. Select the fishing ability from your Ability Wheel. Approach the water carefully since Nikki struggles with deep water. Activate the fishing ability using the designated button.
Nikki will seamlessly change into her fish-catching attire equipped with a fishing pole. Once a fish bites, follow the prompts to engage it and use the pole to deplete the fish’s endurance meter. Successfully catching a fish will reveal its type and size. Additionally, if you catch a sufficiently large fish, it will fulfill part of the Wishfield Journal Day 5 challenge titled ‘Master Angler.’ Keep an eye on this objective!
