“Inflation Ain’t No Joke”: Fans Share Reactions to $50 Preorder Price for Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine premiered in theaters on July 26, 2024, and soon fans can experience it at home as the film will be available on digital platforms starting October 1, 2024. The physical release of Deadpool & Wolverine will follow on October 22, 2024, and Disney has unveiled the first look at the Blu-ray, 4K, and steel book covers online.

While many are eager to own a physical copy of Deadpool & Wolverine for home viewing, the retail price for the 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital version has disappointed numerous fans.

Amazon listings indicate a price of $49.99, highlighted by X user @Wario64.

“Inflation ain’t no joke,”joked one fan on X.

“$50.00? Umm what? For a movie?,”questioned another shocked fan.

“Surely the price is wrong and that was meant for the steelbook edition…,”speculated another fan.

Some fans compared the price of Deadpool & Wolverine to other Blu-ray releases and concluded that it appears to be more costly in comparison. Others debated whether the $49.99 price is justified for the Ryan Reynolds-led film.

“$50 for a 4K, they usually always cost $30 for normal and $35 for steelbook,”noted one fan.

“Huh? 50 bucks? usually 4Ks are 30 at most…,”echoed another fan.

“Bruh what is it with movies getting so expensive these days? Back when I was buying DVDs for my PlayStation 2, they cost less,”lamented another disappointed fan.

“For $50, it better come with a free upgrade to the PS5 version,”joked another fan.

“£50?? And they wonder why no one buys physical media anymore,”said yet another fan.

“$50!? I’m sorry, but this movie was not that good to spend $50 on it,”shared another fan.

The Deadpool & Wolverine physical media will be available in stores starting October 22, 2024, while fans can enjoy it digitally on VOD from October 1, 2024.
