Janelle Discusses Property with Kody in Exclusive Sister Wives Clip

In the teaser for Sister Wives season 19 episode 2, Janelle and Maddie talked about their family property, which has not yet been paid off. Janelle revealed that the Flagstaff home is being shared by Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Kody. She further explained the urgency surrounding the remaining payment, as the seller requires it to be completed within six months to secure the house.

Janelle elaborated:

“So the first two-acre lot right now is Kody and I. The second two-acre lot is Kody and Robyn. The third is a four-acre lot and it’s Meri, myself and Kody. And then, the five-acre lot, because Christine quit, claimed it is Kody and Robyn.”

The Sister Wives cast member referred to this family home as an “asset”that she believes she should retain from her marriage to Kody, considering their relationship has ended. Janelle is eager to turn a new leaf by moving to Montana with Maddie, emphasizing:

“Robyn’s got her house. Christine had her house. Meri has built a business, but she didn’t use family money. She built that herself.”

Despite her plans, Janelle expressed concern that Kody might be delaying the payment process. She informed Maddie that the seller had contacted Kody multiple times, but he had not yet formulated a specific plan. In her confessional, Janelle conveyed that Kody was not “taking this more seriously.”

Latter in the clip, Kody shared with the cameras that he had ceased providing Janelle updates about the house purchase because she would frequently inquire about the property. He expressed that he no longer trusts Janelle, which influenced his decision to withhold information regarding the Flagstaff property. Kody expressed his fatigue with the situation, stating that the property would be paid off when the time is right.

Kody explained:

“We will pay off the property when the time comes and I’m not giving you any details about what I’m doing or whatever because I’m tired of disclosing information that goes through the gossip mill of our broken family.”
