Niantic and Nintendo are gearing up for an exciting Community Day in Pikmin Bloom, occurring on January 11-12, 2025. This augmented reality game invites players outside to explore their surroundings while engaging in fun activities that reward real-world movement. Much like its predecessor Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom encourages physical activity by tracking the player’s steps and offering various in-game rewards, particularly for visiting local landmarks marked by large, vibrant flowers.
Community Days happen monthly and require players to achieve a goal of 10,000 steps to earn a themed badge. The last event of 2024, held on December 14-15, celebrated the Poinsettia Flower, while January’s event will spotlight the Camellia. This will mark the first Community Day of 2025, and participants are encouraged to get outside and walk to earn unique rewards.

During Community Day, players can engage with special in-game features. When planting regular petals—blue, red, yellow, or white—Big Flowers will transform into beautiful Camellias. Additionally, seedlings from planter packs will grow at an accelerated rate of 1.5 times the usual speed. It’s important to note that players who don’t meet the 10,000-step challenge by the end of January 11 will reset their progress on January 12, losing the chance to receive the coveted badge if they exceed the step requirement.
In addition to the Community Day festivities, Niantic has released a special code for players to redeem free in-game items until March 1, 2025, at 0:00 UTC. By entering this code on the Pikmin Bloom official website, players can receive three different colored petals as well as a Flower Planting Accelerator, enhancing their gameplay experience during the event.
