Joe Budden has recently refuted claims linking him to the notorious ‘freak-off’ parties organized by hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy”Combs. During the episode of The Joe Budden Podcast aired on Saturday, September 21, Budden emphatically stated that he is not featured on any tapes related to Combs’ parties that were seized by authorities during raids on Combs’ residences.
Budden mentioned that even his father reached out to him concerning these rumors, and he assured him that he was not present when any of the tapes were recorded. Furthermore, he clarified that he has never been friends with Combs. Budden stated:
“For the last time, can y’all take me off the list of names that y’all think is on these tapes. Why are ya’ll so hell-bent on putting n***as on these tapes.”
Joe Budden Refutes Friendship with Diddy and Alleged Connection to ‘Freak-Off’ Tapes
In light of P. Diddy’s recent arrest, federal indictment, and the revelations about his ‘freak-off’ parties, numerous celebrities have come under scrutiny regarding their potential involvement with Puff Daddy. Notably, Joe Budden’s name surfaced among these celebrities.
While Budden did have a professional relationship with Combs, collaborating on the 2018 talk show State of the Culture, he vehemently denied any association with Diddy’s controversial parties during his podcast episode. Tapes of these events were reportedly obtained by authorities during raids at Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes earlier this year in March.
As previously mentioned, Budden urged the public to remove his name from the list of individuals believed to be featured in the tapes, stating that he is not involved in any of them. The rumors had spiraled to the point where even his father, who recently learned to navigate an iPhone, called him to discuss the situation.
Joe Budden’s father thought the claims were “crazy,”but Budden made it clear that he was not present on any alleged tapes. To further emphasize his stance, he mentioned how everyone now seems to have a “camcorder dude”around them, something he disapproves of. Budden noted that he isn’t comfortable being recorded, even when fully clothed, asserting:
“Do you know how I would be in the nude?! I am a f**king prude.”
When co-host Melyssa Ford questioned his “prude”remark, Budden retorted:
“You can’t just record my body dawg and on your premises.”
Budden humorously added that he has never been to girls’ houses, insisting that viewers wouldn’t even catch a glimpse of him via a ring camera ordering McDonald’s from his car. He also commented on the significant amount of baby oil found in Diddy’s residences, saying:
“Baby oil and not the gel?! Talk about a beginner!”
He recounted:
“You’re taking me back to when I was rummaging through Pop’s side chick’s medicine cabinet while they were asleep, just looking for something to rub one out on the carpet maybe.”
Later in the episode, when co-host Trevor “Queenzflip”Robinson inquired about Budden’s supposed “friendship”with Diddy, Joe Budden quickly intervened, insisting that no friendship exists. Budden elaborated that he is “very clear”about his professional relationships, underscoring that he knows the value he brings and where he stands with others in the industry. He exclaimed:
“These are professional relationships. Some of these n***as are really fly and I’m fans of some of these people. Outside of that, ya’ll know it’s tough to get me out of the crib.”
P. Diddy was arrested on Monday, September 16, at a hotel in New York City. He faces charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution. Despite offering a $50 million bond, Puffy was denied bail and remains in custody at the time of this article’s publication.
