JYP’s 30th Anniversary Special Chuseok Program Featuring TWICE, Rain, 2PM & More: Setlist and Highlights

On September 16, 2024, Park Jinyoung, better known as J.Y. Park or JYP, celebrated his 30th debut anniversary as a singer and dancer, featuring guest performances from popular K-pop groups like TWICE, 2PM, Rain, and more.

KBS TV 2 aired a special Chuseok program titled Entertainer JYP Park Jin Young. The 52-year-old JYP, who is also the founder of JYP Entertainment, has been instrumental in launching successful K-pop artists, including TWICE, Wonder Girls, and 2PM, among others.

This milestone special showcased the significant contributions J.Y. Park has made to the South Korean music industry over three decades and included 29 unique performance stages. Numerous former and current artists associated with JYP Entertainment gathered to honor his 30-year journey in the industry.

During the event, J.Y. Park performed the intro to TWICE’s hit song FEEL SPECIAL and participated in the outro dance of What is Love? Other artists, including soloist Rain and K-pop groups 2PM and Wonder Girls, also graced the stage alongside him.

According to Newsis, the renowned South Korean singer and entertainer JYP addressed the audience, reflecting on his early career days in the 1990s. He expressed that after 30 years, he felt he had successfully achieved his aspirations as both a singer and entertainer.

“It’s been 30 years since I stood before you. From my rookie days until now, I have only wished for one thing: to dance and sing for a long time, to comfort you, and to inspire you. This has been my lifelong dream, and today is a testament to those 30 years,” he stated.

“I wrote the songs to ensure I wouldn’t become complacent after 20 years. I believed I could call myself a legend after 30 years. Today’s performance was crafted in hopes that you could forget your worries and enjoy a memorable evening together.”

“Jinyoung hyung and I don’t have a specific label on our relationship; we are simply brothers. He has always wanted to dedicate his life to music and the stage, and I hope he continues to shine as he dreams and revisits this stage on our 40th anniversary.”
