Kamala Harris Addresses Dictator-like Behavior from Donald Trump: ‘We Know What He Wants’

Today has unveiled some alarming insights regarding Donald Trump, stemming from two interviews conducted with John Kelly, the former chief of staff. During these discussions, Kelly reflected on Trump’s private remarks and expressed his concerns about the implications for the future should Trump resume the presidency.

It seems Trump prioritizes loyalty above all else when it comes to those around him. As highlighted by The Atlantic, Kelly recounted a troubling instance where Trump expressed a desire for generals akin to those of Hitler—individuals who were unconditionally loyal and obedient. This revelation surfaces in light of Trump’s previous comments about employing military force against “the enemy within,” referring to anyone who opposes him.

Moreover, Trump’s past remarks regarding Hitler have resurfaced. According to The Atlantic, Kelly disclosed in Jim Sciutto’s book, The Return of Great Powers, that Trump infamously remarked, “Hitler did some good things,” citing the economic conditions in Germany. Kelly promptly advised Trump to cease any praise for Hitler.

Kamala Harris has taken a stand against what she perceives as Trump’s dictatorial tendencies. On October 23, she issued a stern warning to the American populace. While speaking from her residence in Washington D.C., she stated, “It is extremely concerning and profoundly dangerous that Donald Trump would reference Adolf Hitler, the individual responsible for the extermination of six million Jews and countless Americans.”

She continued, “Just yesterday, we learned from John Kelly, a retired four-star general and Trump’s former chief of staff, that during his presidency, Trump expressed a desire for generals like Adolf Hitler. This reveals Trump’s preference for military loyalty to him rather than fidelity to the Constitution of the United States.”

The threats posed by Trump are becoming increasingly evident, yet polls indicate a tight race between him and Harris. His comments seemingly do not deter his dedicated base, nor do the alarming signs of his declining cognitive abilities.

“Donald Trump is progressively becoming more erratic and unstable,” Harris reiterated. “Should he secure a second term, figures like John Kelly would no longer serve as checks on his tendencies and choices. Those who once attempted to curb his more dangerous impulses would be absent, leaving his worst traits unchecked.” This begs the question: if Trump’s first term was concerning, what would a second term entail?

“The bottom line is, we are aware of Trump’s desires. He seeks absolute power. The crucial question in 13 days will be, what do the American people desire?” Harris concluded.

Tim Walz, Harris’s running mate, also addressed Trump’s “Hitler’s generals” comments at a rally in Wisconsin. “Don’t be complacent and think this is acceptable,” he warned attendees. “As a 24-year veteran of our military, I find this profoundly disturbing, and you should too.” As we approach the election, the suspense will grow regarding whether Donald Trump, whom Kelly describes as “an individual that certainly embodies the general traits of fascism,” will once again occupy the White House.
