The unfortunate Jeju Air crash occurred on December 29, when a Boeing 737-800, returning from Thailand, attempted to land at Muan International Airport in southern South Korea. Following an unsuccessful landing attempt, the aircraft experienced a bird strike warning, prompting the pilot to issue a distress signal.
