Recent leaks surrounding the Genshin Impact 5.2 update have surfaced, revealing exciting details about upcoming characters and rerun banners. This new version is anticipated to showcase two fresh playable characters from Natlan, Chasca and Ororon. Notably, only Chasca is expected to be a 5-star unit, while Ororon is likely to be classified as a 4-star character. Additionally, there are rumors that this update will feature reruns of some of the most coveted characters from the game, including a well-loved Archon.
This article delves into the upcoming characters and rerun banners scheduled for the Genshin Impact 5.2 update.
Leaked Banners for Genshin Impact 5.2
The Genshin Impact 5.2 update is set to add only two new playable characters: Chasca and Ororon. As previously noted, Chasca stands out as a 5-star unit, while Ororon is anticipated to be a 4-star character. This implies that the remaining three 5-star banners will comprise reruns.
According to leaks from Full Stop Chan, here’s the anticipated order of the 5-star character banners in the Genshin Impact 5.2 update:
Phase I – November 20, 2024
- Chasca (5-star Anemo – Bow)
- Lyney (5-star Pyro – Bow)
Phase II – December 10, 2024
- Neuvillette (5-star Hydro – Catalyst)
- Zhongli (5-star Geo – Polearm)
Chasca will most likely be introduced alongside Lyney in the first half of the update, potentially marking Lyney’s second rerun. The second phase is expected to highlight two of the game’s most powerful units, with Neuvillette receiving a second rerun and Zhongli his fifth. However, it remains uncertain whether Ororon will debut in the first or second half of the update.
Full Stop Chan is noted as a reliable source within the community, lending credibility to these banner leaks.
Insights into Chasca and Ororon
Chasca possesses an Anemo Vision and has been depicted wielding a Bow in the Natlan Archon Quest cutscene, suggesting this will be her primary weapon. In contrast, Ororon carries an Electro Vision, and a brief glimpse in the version 5.1 trailer shows him charging at Abyss foes while armed with a Bow, indicating that this may also be his preferred weapon type.
Nonetheless, the weapon types for both Chasca and Ororon have yet to be officially verified, and current gameplay footage alone is insufficient as proof. Some characters are shown to have expertise in various weapon types and have utilized different weapons during quests or cutscenes. For instance, in Cyno’s Story Quest, Sethos employs a Polearm despite being classified as a Bow user.
For now, Travelers will need to remain patient for further updates.
