Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Guide to All Glyphs and Their Locations

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered

The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered invites longstanding fans to immerse themselves once again in these iconic games. Each title offers unique gameplay elements that set them apart. One significant feature is the use of Glyphs, powerful tools in the original Soul Reaver that players can harness for extraordinary effects.

While the sequel, Soul Reaver 2, intended to introduce a new array of Glyphs, this idea was ultimately abandoned. Although players will encounter several Glyphs throughout the remastered game, only the Spirit Glyph is essential for completing the storyline.

How to Obtain Every Glyph in Soul Reaver

Force Glyph
Sunlight Glyph
Glyph Statue
Sunlight Glyph 3
Fire Reaper Entrance

At the onset of the game, players are granted access to just one Glyph, enabling them to transition between the Spectral Realm and the Material Plane. Players can shift into the Spectral Realm freely; however, entering the Material Plane requires locating specific marked locations on the map while being at full health.

Glyph Name Glyph Power How to Obtain
Spirit Glyph Allows Raziel to shift between the Spectral Realm and the Material Plane. Available from the game’s start.
Force Glyph Repels enemies, ideal when surrounded. After defeating Melchiah, backtrack to the initial water room. Shift to the Spectral Realm, proceed through the gate, and trigger the cutscene by pushing three obelisks.
Stone Glyph Stuns all adversaries within its radius. Return to Melchiah’s realm and leap into the water to shift realms. Jump up to reach the Material Plane and solve a block puzzle to find the Glyph Statue.
Sound Glyph Injures and stuns enemies in its vicinity. Obtainable post projectile ability. Navigate through the Silenced Cathedral, break a larger glass pane, and follow the pathways to the bell to access the Sound Glyph.
Fire Glyph Allows Raziel to instantly incinerate both vampires and humans. After defeating Rahab, backtrack to the stained-glass window area, swim down, and smash the submerged window to reach the Fire Glyph Statue.
Sunlight Glyph The most potent Glyph, incinerating all lesser vampires while sparing humans. Go to the Silenced Cathedral’s right entrance, swim to discover caverns, activate all lighthouses, and shift into the Spectral Realm to access the Sunlight Glyph.
Water Glyph Functions like the Fire Glyph but does not affect humans or Rahab’s kin. Return to the Lake of the Dead on your path to defeat Dumah, and follow specific pathways to finally locate the Water Glyph Statue.
